At the end of the tunnel, the light - mailing editorial November 2020

On the evening of October 28, we had to celebrate two things:
- the end of the work on the shop which until then seemed never to end;
- making up for the drop in turnover. Despite the first confinement, from January 1 to October 27, 2020, we were at 0.003% online growth compared to the same period in 2019!

But, in a coincidence of mischievous timing, the closure of non-essential stores was announced the very evening of this festive day.
A feeling worthy of a Racinian tragedy gripped us to remind us of one of the most famous lines from Racine's Phèdre:

Everything afflicts me and harms me and conspires to harm me.

To alleviate this affliction, we fortunately had the prospect of the launch of the new version of the site. And we were able to take advantage of the time given to us by the absence of customers in the store to correct the inevitable small bugs linked to the launch of a site.

We are fully satisfied with the result. In a world where technologies are constantly changing, a site that no longer evolves does not allow you to maintain the best performance (in speed, security and on mobile). “ Everything must change so that nothing changes, ” Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa would have said, in his marvelous book The Leet . The challenge was therefore to charm you with a new design without disorienting you or disrupting your habits. If you have any comments, as always, we are very interested in them!

This site, launched at the beginning of the month, is giving good results. Women's socks in particular are selling much better since the quality of the photos has improved. The boxes, by joining the main menu, also attract many more customers.

This satisfactory departure and the reopening of the store this Saturday, November 28 at 11 a.m. bring the low light of the winter sun to appear at the end of the tunnel.
To be continued...
