Dear Customers and Friends,
For a clothing label, it’s always seen as a good idea to say that a year has started strongly. The idea is to convey dynamism and youth; two fundamentals of fashion. This year has started brilliantly, and we really mean it. And we can prove it with our exciting new project, we’re opening a boutique in Lyon!
In 2021, our Parisian boutique experienced the same growth as our website (+23%) despite non-essential shops and boutiques closing in March. Successive lockdowns have led to an increase in online shopping, which has in turn led to more time for leisure shopping in actual shops. This is the case for many customers at our Parisian boutique, who are often kind enough to tell us that they have come in to enjoy the shopping experience.
We also strongly believe that our shop and website work hand in hand. For example, our market penetration rate (number of website customers / general population) in Paris where we have our boutique, is double that of Lyon, Bordeaux, or Marseille where we don’t have a shop (yet!).
Our Lyon boutique will be very central, between Bellecour and Carnot (near the Perrache station for those who are familiar with Lyon) and just opposite the famous Montaland charcuterie, which was just mentioned in the latest Houellebecq book, Anéantir (Annihilate). If you’ve never had it, Lyon’s charcuterie is just about the only thing that would make even Houellebecq’s most depressed characters smile, apart from our socks of course. In short, the year is starting strong in Lyon!
