Red & Sky Blue - Super-Durable Cotton Lisle
Red & sky blue striped knee-high socks in Super-Durable cotton lisle from the French brand Mazarin.
These knee-high socks reach just below the knee. They are mainly made of mercerised cotton, mostly known as cotton lisle, popular because of its neat feel and softness. The Super-Durable range also incorporates a touch of polyamide to significantly increase durability and friction resistance. This, combined with their intermedium thickness, makes them the perfect pair to wear every day.
This pair features a bright red colour with light blue ribbing, an ideal pattern to wear with darker outfits to enhance the overall look, but will also work well with lighter shades.
Mazarin's socks are reinforced at the heel and toe and are remeshed stitch by stitch to increase comfort since this technique avoids seams at the toes.
Composition: 72% Cotton lisle - 26% Polyamide - 2% Elastane
Height: Knee-high (below the knee)
We offer three heights of socks:
1- Knee-High Socks
Height: these socks are quite long, reaching just below the knee.
Advantages: they offer more support and cover the entire shin. Their height is suitable to be worn with suit trousers.
2- Mid-Calf Socks
Height: mid-calf socks are shorter socks that reach the middle of the calf.
Advantages: they are ideal for people who wear tight-fitting trousers.
3- No-Show Socks
Height: these socks are very short, meant to stay hidden inside of the shoe. We offer different models for different shoes.
Advantage: the no-show socks are invisible in the trainers or moccasins but still protect your feet and shoes.
For socks made from plant-based materials:
Cotton lisle, Cotton & Linen:
- Washing: machine wash at a maximum of 40°C
- Spin cycle: between 600 and 1000 rpm;
- Ideally, wash the socks inside out and in a laundry bag to prevent pilling and preserve the colours;
- Drying: tumble drying and ironing are strongly discouraged;
- Air dry, with socks hung up or laid flat. Recommended to preserve the quality of the fibres and the natural shape of the socks.
Cotton Sea Island & Silk :
- Washing: machine wash cold or up to 30°C (ideally on a delicate cycle)
- Spin cycle: maximum 600 rpm;
- Ideally, wash the socks inside out and in a laundry bag to prevent pilling and preserve the colours;
- Drying: tumble drying and ironing are strongly discouraged;
- Air dry, with socks hung up or laid flat. Recommended to preserve the quality of the fibres and the natural shape of the socks.
For socks made of animal fibres:
Wool merinos, cashmere, vicuna, camel hair :
- Washing: machine wash cold or up to a maximum of 30°C
- Spin cycle: maximum 600 rpm;
- Ideally, wash the socks inside out and in a laundry bag to prevent pilling and preserve the colours;
- Drying: tumble drying and ironing are strongly discouraged;
- Air dry, with socks hung up or laid flat. Recommended to preserve the quality of the fibres and the natural shape of the socks.
N.B:
- For the first wash, it is recommended not to mix light-coloured and dark-coloured socks.
- When in doubt about which cycle to use, hand washing is always effective and safe for delicate materials.
