Academy Green - Super-Durable Wool
As you can see, the Super-Durable range is available in wool and features the iconic Academy Green colour from Mazarin.
Knitted in Italy, these Super-Durable woollen mid-calf socks combine resistance, warmth and softness, making them the perfect pair for cold, wintery days. These socks are part of the Super-Durable range, the most resistant on the market. They have been specially developed by Mazarin to withstand wear and tear over time and have been tested and approved by the world-renowned Martindale test. It is the combination of the best natural (72% merino wool) and synthetic (26% polyamide) materials that gives them their characteristic strength and comfort.
Their emblematic colour is directly inspired by the embroidery thread of the academicians' green garment, decorated with olive branches. Academy green is a fairly dark colour, easy to match with black, navy blue or grey suits. The perfect shade to add a touch of colour while remaining very discreet!

Height: Mid-calf (short)
We offer three heights of socks:
1- Knee-High Socks
Height: these socks are quite long, reaching just below the knee.
Advantages: they offer more support and cover the entire shin. Their height is suitable to be worn with suit trousers.
2- Mid-Calf Socks
Height: mid-calf socks are shorter socks that reach the middle of the calf.
Advantages: they are ideal for people who wear tight-fitting trousers.
3- No-Show Socks
Height: these socks are very short, meant to stay hidden inside of the shoe. We offer different models for different shoes.
Advantage: the no-show socks are invisible in the trainers or moccasins but still protect your feet and shoes.
For socks made from vegetal fibres:
Cotton lisle, Cotton & Linen:
- Washing: by hand or in the washing machine, preferably cold (30 or 40° maximum) with a spin cycle between 600 and 1000 rpm).
- Wash the socks inside out and in a wash bag to avoid lint and preserve the colours.
- Tumble dry and ironing: strongly discouraged.
- Drying on a flat surface recommended to preserve the quality of the fibres and the natural shape of the socks.
Cotton Sea Island & Silk :
- Washing: by hand (recommended) or in washing machine (cold 30°, with a spin cycle of 600 rpm maximum).
- Wash the socks inside out and in a wash bag to avoid lint and preserve the colours.
- Tumble dry and ironing: strongly discouraged.
- Drying on a flat surface recommended to preserve the quality of the fibres and the natural shape of the socks.
For socks made of animal fibres:
Wool merinos, cashmere, vicuna, camel hair :
- Washing: by hand (recommended) or in washing machine (cold 30°, with a spin cycle of 600 rpm maximum).
- Wash the socks inside out and in a wash bag to avoid lint and preserve the colours.
- Tumble dry and ironing: strongly discouraged.
- Drying on a flat surface recommended.
N.B.: when washing for the first time, it is advisable not to mix light and dark coloured socks.
