Light Grey & Red - Houndstooth - Wool
Light grey & red houndstooth woollen socks from the Italian brand Bresciani.
These mid-calf (short) woollen socks are characterised by their thin and light wool that will keep your feet warm in winter thanks to their insulating properties. They're particularly suitable for wearing in dress shoes due to their thinness.
The houndstooth pattern looks very elegant and will match perfectly with grey, navy blue, burgundy or black trousers and brown or black shoes. You can wear them with similar shades to tone down the intensity of the pattern or dare to wear them with contrasting colours to draw the eye to the refined details.
This model is knit in Italy and is distinguished by its exceptional finishing:
- The heel and toe are reinforced for greater resistance to wear.
- The stitching is remeshed stitch by stitch to avoid seams at the toe and ensure comfort.

1- Knee-High Socks
Height: these socks are quite long, reaching just below the knee.
Advantages: they offer more support and cover the entire shin. Their height is suitable to be worn with suit trousers.
2- Mid-Calf Socks
Height: mid-calf socks are shorter socks that reach the middle of the calf.
Advantages: they are ideal for people who wear tight-fitting trousers.
3- No-Show Socks
Height: these socks are very short, meant to stay hidden inside of the shoe. We offer different models for different shoes.
Advantage: the no-show socks are invisible in the trainers or moccasins but still protect your feet and shoes.
For socks made from vegetal fibres:
Cotton lisle, Cotton & Linen:
- Washing: by hand or in the washing machine, preferably cold (30 or 40° maximum) with a spin cycle between 600 and 1000 rpm).
- Wash the socks inside out and in a wash bag to avoid lint and preserve the colours.
- Tumble dry and ironing: strongly discouraged.
- Drying on a flat surface recommended to preserve the quality of the fibres and the natural shape of the socks.
Cotton Sea Island & Silk :
- Washing: by hand (recommended) or in washing machine (cold 30°, with a spin cycle of 600 rpm maximum).
- Wash the socks inside out and in a wash bag to avoid lint and preserve the colours.
- Tumble dry and ironing: strongly discouraged.
- Drying on a flat surface recommended to preserve the quality of the fibres and the natural shape of the socks.
For socks made of animal fibres:
Wool merinos, cashmere, vicuna, camel hair :
- Washing: by hand (recommended) or in washing machine (cold 30°, with a spin cycle of 600 rpm maximum).
- Wash the socks inside out and in a wash bag to avoid lint and preserve the colours.
- Tumble dry and ironing: strongly discouraged.
- Drying on a flat surface recommended.
N.B.: when washing for the first time, it is advisable not to mix light and dark coloured socks.
