The alpaca is a small member of the camel family that lives in the Andes at an altitude of 4,500 meters. Every year its fleece produces 2.5 kilos of wool which is why the annual production of alpaca wool is relatively low. The finest wool comes from the back and under the neck of the alpaca.
It is the second finest wool in the world after vicuna. This charming little animal produces wool that is extremely soft and our alpaca socks are beloved by both men and women.
Bresciani makes very soft and warm alpaca socks using only alpaca wool. We are pleased to announce that these socks are now available in men’s as well as women’s sizes and are mid-calf length.
