Shoe polish set - Maintenance & Glazing - Black
Here is the third set of shoe polishes from Saphir.
This allows you not only to shine your shoes but also to clean them and to glaze them. You will find in this range:
- A polish to make your shoes shine.
- An ointment to nourish the leather.
- A chamois to spread the products.
- A spatula brush for applying products to welts.
- A lotion to clean your shoes.
- A horsehair brush to make them shine.
- A colorless renovator .
- A Mirror Gloss intended for obtaining a glaze on the ends and buttresses.

Saphir shoe cream, also called pommadier, is a blend of natural waxes, pigments and shea butter. It is commonly used to rejuvenish the leather. Apply this product with a horsehair spatula brush to nourish and recolor evenly your shoes. Wait at least fifteen minutes. Then, buff your shoes with a large horsehair brush to remove the excess cream and bring a beautiful shine.
Wax polish
Saphir wax polish, known as "Pate de Luxe", is also a blend of oils and natural waxes. You can apply it with a brush to protect the leather from water and other damages, and to shine your shoes. It is the main product required to make a mirror shine, or enhance your shoes with different shades.
The mirror gloss
Although similar to the wax polish, the mirror gloss is recommended for mirror shines only. This blend of hard waxes is best used for speeding up and facilitate the process of mirror shine, which can be long and arduous the first time.
The lotion
Saphir's lotion is a all-in-one product. You can apply it with a rag to clean the leather of your shoes. It is composed of beeswax, lanolin and mink oil, which will nourish the leather and soften it. Buff the shoes after application and drying for a beautiful shine.
Saphir Renovateur
Like the lotion, this product is mainly composed of mink oil. You can use it for a deep leather nourishment. It is best used on dry and uncared leather. Do not use it on exotic leathers, such as alligator.
The Reno'Mat
This product should only be used once or twice a year, or on a leather that was not cleaned for a long time. Its purpose is to dissolve the waxes, natural or made with silicon in order to clean and prepare the leather for a full shoe care. Do not use it on patinas, since it would remove the added colors.
The grease
Saphir's grease is a product mainly used to nourish greasy leather, but it can also be used on leather soles for waterproofing. You can also apply it on the welt to prevent the stitching from breaking.
We offer three heights of socks:
1- Knee-High Socks
Height: these socks are quite long, reaching just below the knee.
Advantages: they offer more support and cover the entire shin. Their height is suitable to be worn with suit trousers.
2- Mid-Calf Socks
Height: mid-calf socks are shorter socks that reach the middle of the calf.
Advantages: they are ideal for people who wear tight-fitting trousers.
3- No-Show Socks
Height: these socks are very short, meant to stay hidden inside of the shoe. We offer different models for different shoes.
Advantage: the no-show socks are invisible in the trainers or moccasins but still protect your feet and shoes.
For socks made from vegetal fibres:
Cotton lisle, Cotton & Linen:
- Washing: by hand or in the washing machine, preferably cold (30 or 40° maximum) with a spin cycle between 600 and 1000 rpm).
- Wash the socks inside out and in a wash bag to avoid lint and preserve the colours.
- Tumble dry and ironing: strongly discouraged.
- Drying on a flat surface recommended to preserve the quality of the fibres and the natural shape of the socks.
Cotton Sea Island & Silk :
- Washing: by hand (recommended) or in washing machine (cold 30°, with a spin cycle of 600 rpm maximum).
- Wash the socks inside out and in a wash bag to avoid lint and preserve the colours.
- Tumble dry and ironing: strongly discouraged.
- Drying on a flat surface recommended to preserve the quality of the fibres and the natural shape of the socks.
For socks made of animal fibres:
Wool merinos, cashmere, vicuna, camel hair :
- Washing: by hand (recommended) or in washing machine (cold 30°, with a spin cycle of 600 rpm maximum).
- Wash the socks inside out and in a wash bag to avoid lint and preserve the colours.
- Tumble dry and ironing: strongly discouraged.
- Drying on a flat surface recommended.
N.B.: when washing for the first time, it is advisable not to mix light and dark coloured socks.
