Mottled grey wool socks from Mazarin’s Bison range.
These mid-calf (short) Bison socks are perfect for winter:
- Warm: 68% super soft merino wool (prized for its insulating properties) for the perfect warm winter socks.
- Thick: thicker than Mazarin’s super-durable range and perfect to wear with roomier shoes or larger dress shoes. These thick grey ribbed socks are the perfect casual touch to any outfit.
- Finishing touches: Knitted in master Italian workshops, Mazarin’s Bison socks are reinforced with polyamide and elastane to produce this durable yet flexible model. Reinforced at the toe and heel and remeshed stitch by stitch for a comfortable seamless finish.
Thanks to their darker shade of mottled grey, these mid-calf socks go with any look, from jeans to darker trousers in black or navy. These elegant and comfortable socks are ideal for the colder seasons.

1- Knee-High Socks
Height: these socks are quite long, reaching just below the knee.
Advantages: they offer more support and cover the entire shin. Their height is suitable to be worn with suit trousers.
2- Mid-Calf Socks
Height: mid-calf socks are shorter socks that reach the middle of the calf.
Advantages: they are ideal for people who wear tight-fitting trousers.
3- No-Show Socks
Height: these socks are very short, meant to stay hidden inside of the shoe. We offer different models for different shoes.
Advantage: the no-show socks are invisible in the trainers or moccasins but still protect your feet and shoes.
For socks made from vegetal fibres:
Cotton lisle, Cotton & Linen:
- Washing: by hand or in the washing machine, preferably cold (30 or 40° maximum) with a spin cycle between 600 and 1000 rpm).
- Wash the socks inside out and in a wash bag to avoid lint and preserve the colours.
- Tumble dry and ironing: strongly discouraged.
- Drying on a flat surface recommended to preserve the quality of the fibres and the natural shape of the socks.
Cotton Sea Island & Silk :
- Washing: by hand (recommended) or in washing machine (cold 30°, with a spin cycle of 600 rpm maximum).
- Wash the socks inside out and in a wash bag to avoid lint and preserve the colours.
- Tumble dry and ironing: strongly discouraged.
- Drying on a flat surface recommended to preserve the quality of the fibres and the natural shape of the socks.
For socks made of animal fibres:
Wool merinos, cashmere, vicuna, camel hair :
- Washing: by hand (recommended) or in washing machine (cold 30°, with a spin cycle of 600 rpm maximum).
- Wash the socks inside out and in a wash bag to avoid lint and preserve the colours.
- Tumble dry and ironing: strongly discouraged.
- Drying on a flat surface recommended.
N.B.: when washing for the first time, it is advisable not to mix light and dark coloured socks.
