Do we work in fashion - Newsletter of October 05, 2025

Dear friends, dear customers,

Fashion Week is in full swing in Paris. With our polished loafers, pleated trousers, and our eternal sky-blue and white shirts, we feel a bit far from the extravagant outfits of the catwalks. Yet, we are in the same line of work: dressing our customers.

Let’s admit it: saying “I work in fashion” has always made us smile. First, because socks are far too discreet an accessory to claim we are ‘in fashion’. And more fundamentally, because the idea of a compulsive renewal of products doesn’t appeal to us.

That being said, offering new colors is in our DNA—our very name proves it. Our greatest joy is to match shades based on our current inspirations, sales analysis, and the requests you share with us. On the one hand, there are the collectors, insatiable seekers of novelty, always asking for more colors, unseen patterns, and surprising combinations.
On the other hand, there are the loyal devotees, who have found their favorite pair of socks and dream it will remain available forever.
And we, happy tightrope walkers, walk a fine line between the two: to preserve and disappoint, or to renew and betray.

So, we try—clumsily at times—to reconcile the eternal with the ephemeral. To keep one foot in the comfort of habit, and the other in the excitement of novelty. A grand split that forces us to stay flexible.

Finally, a friendly piece of advice: if, for example, you’re hesitating to get another pair of navy-blue socks, we probably shouldn’t tell you this, but rest assured—they’ll always be there. On the other hand, our boldest creations often disappear as quickly as they appeared.

We wish you a colorful autumn.

Autumn Song, an ode to wool

Soon we shall plunge into the cold darkness;
Farewell, bright clarity of our all-too-short summers!

Let us take seriously Baudelaire’s warning—half poet, half meteorologist—and prepare for the rigors of winter with wool socks. This precious fiber, provided by merino sheep, is a solid shield against the cold.

All our wools are certified with the Responsible Wool Standard (which guarantees that shearing does not cause unnecessary harm to the animals). And all Mazarin wools are, in the language of Molière and Baudelaire, “Total Easy Care”—which means you can safely put these pairs in the washing machine (wool cycle, of course).

Peak season for super-durable socks

Every year, our super-durable range is our autumn classic. These socks are simply perfect for the season: reliable, long-lasting, and easy to care for.

Back-to-school also means back to sports

Back-to-school is also back-to-sport: a new season, new goals.

We’d be lying if we said equipment alone wins the victory, but no champion wears bad socks. To put it another way: clothes may not make the monk—nor the athlete—but they certainly help.

Boxers: fresh cotton fabrics & linen is back (at last!)

New designs crafted from the finest fabrics let you vary what stays invisible to the public!

Fans of linen boxers will be delighted to know that stock is back after a long absence. We apologize to anyone who had to call us during the shortages.
