Our commitments

Mes Chaussettes Rouges has been committed for 10 years to the sustainable design of its products.

Keen to offer products at the forefront of excellence, Jacques & Vincent, the two founders, work daily to find the best materials that will be crafted in exceptional workshops. This goal goes hand in hand with our social and environmental standards, which we apply at every stage of the production chain of our collections.

Italian manufacturing

All our socks are made in Italy.

Why Italy and not France? Because it is the global epicenter for knitting! The cutting-edge workshops we work with are located in northern Italy, near Milan. Spinners, machine manufacturers, and knitting workshops are close to each other to create a unique ecosystem.

Short production circuit

We believe in the importance of close relationships with all stakeholders in our production chain to offer our customers exceptional final products.

For these reasons, our main cotton supplier is Italian and directly oversees production. The Egyptian cotton they provide is of exceptional quality. From Egypt, this cotton is then sent directly to Italy where it is spun and then knitted into socks, which are then received in Paris where we sell our products. This direct Egypt-Italy-France route allows us to maintain traceability of our products at every stage of production up to the sale. Our Italian workshops are also certified TS Fashion (Italian tracking system of the supply chain).

Environmental, Social & Innovation Commitments

The majority of the socks we offer are made from cotton or Scottish yarn. Their production is a real challenge because cotton is a material whose cultivation requires a lot of water. We are therefore committed daily to integrating these issues into how we think about the evolution of our product ranges.

With the aim of reducing our ecological footprint, we create innovative ranges made from organic cotton, such as the non-compressive socks made of 85% organic cotton, which are softer, more flexible, and whose production is more mindful of its environmental impact. Moreover, all our partner production factories in Italy are certified OEKO TEX, and the dyes they apply to the yarns are certified OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class 1.

Our geographically short production chain also reflects this commitment to minimizing our CO2 emissions by favoring a unique Cairo-Milan-Paris route.

We also strive as much as possible to ensure that all products from other brands we offer adhere as closely as possible to these same principles.
