Does Scottish thread come from Scotland?

Not at all! The threads of our socks have never set foot in Scotland. The mercerization process was simply invented by John Mercer, a Scotsman: it is therefore a tribute to his nationality. Specifically, the purpose of this process is to burn off the fibers that escape from the thread to make it more uniform, shinier (less fuzzy), and above all to prevent pilling!

When to wear Scottish thread mid-calf socks?

The majority of French people wear cotton socks all year round! Scottish thread socks can be worn in both cold and warm seasons. The softness of Scottish thread protects the feet in winter (if you are sensitive to cold, it probably won’t be enough!).
