# Very Warm Materials

The very warm materials that make up our winter socks will especially appeal to those who are more sensitive to the cold and will withstand the coldest temperatures. Warm socks are socks that insulate, and to ensure good insulation for your feet, we recommend wearing socks made from animal fibers such as cashmere and cashmere blends (silk, wool). There are also socks made from yak or vicuña, which is as rare as it is warm!

# How to Choose the Material?

To choose your very warm socks, compare the characteristics of the materials and their thicknesses:

  • Cashmere is obviously one of the softest and warmest materials. Our socks are made of 100% or 85% cashmere (more durable). Their thickness makes them more comfortable and insulating.
  • Cashmere and wool blend: these socks have a medium thickness and no ribbing, which enhances their soft and silky feel. They combine the warmth of wool with the softness of cashmere.
  • Cashmere and silk: these socks are the perfect combination of two particularly soft and warm materials. They are very thin, ideal for slipping into all your winter shoes, even the narrowest ones. The silk gives them an unmatched silky appearance. They are among the warmest socks, notably thanks to the thermoregulating properties of silk that retain heat well.

For exceptional materials, special care: all these socks are precious and should preferably be hand washed, or if using a machine, on a very delicate cycle (little to no spinning) and no tumble drying.
