What is an ankle sock?
Sometimes called "no-show socks," ankle socks are a type of short sock that reaches just above the ankle bone, at the lower part of the ankle. While these socks are not truly invisible socks (except when worn with ankle boots), they remain very discreet and allow the calf to be visible. This is why these very short socks have gained popularity in casual and sportswear styles.
They are also ideal for wearing with sneakers, as their height covers the entire foot. For this reason, they are sometimes called "foot protector socks."
The advantages of our ankle socks
Very short socks are not formal socks and generally fit into casual styles. Additionally, they are usually appreciated for their practicality and comfort. Here are several benefits of wearing no-show socks:
- Flexibility: our ankle socks are knitted with a small proportion of nylon to ensure excellent stretch in the fabric while maintaining optimal support. This allows the socks to fit perfectly on your feet and reduce friction with the material. This increases comfort and limits the risk of blisters and irritation. The fit is secured at the ankle by elastane.
- Softness: our no-show socks are made from extra-soft organic cotton that is not mercerized. This lightweight and very soft material ensures great comfort as well as better durability of the fabric over multiple washes.
- Versatile socks: very short socks are also appreciated for their versatility. Whether worn with sneakers or simply to protect your feet while walking around at home, these socks are ideal. They are thin enough to fit into any shoes without ever bothering the wearer.
- Lightweight: Our socks are knitted from extra-soft, non-mercerized cotton. This fine and light material is perfect for those who dislike feeling cramped in their shoes.
