Women's Short Sock Ranges

We offer special sock ranges for women to provide products that best fit the morphology of our customers. For this reason, women's short sock models are generally thinner and narrower. Our selection of women's short socks also starts from size 36 up to 41 and beyond, depending on the models. Women's short socks, also called mid-calf socks, are socks that reach about the middle of the calf.

Several brands offer women's short socks:

  • Bonne Maison and Daphné, two French brands exclusively specialized in women's models and renowned for the originality of their patterns (fancy women's short socks, sequins) and the fineness of their finishes;
  • Mazarin, Bresciani and Gammarelli, French and Italian brands specialized in men's models but offering some ranges starting from size 36.

Note: Ladies, if you wear size 39 or above, don’t hesitate to expand your selection of short socks to men's models, which all start at size 39 and go up to size 49 for some models!

Here are all our ranges of women's short socks suitable for all seasons and tastes:

  • Scottish Yarn: women's short socks in Scottish yarn are thin and lightweight, ideal to wear all year round if you’re not sensitive to cold. A favorite are the bright red Gammarelli colors (like cardinal socks) and purple (the color of bishops) – if you want more colors in 100% Scottish yarn, we recommend trying the women's high socks (mid-stockings)!
  • Supersoft Cotton: these women's short socks are made of 85% smooth cotton without ribs, thin and flexible. They perfectly hug the shape of the ankle and calf and provide impeccable support.
  • Organic Cotton: short socks in organic cotton are not only particularly soft and environmentally friendly (organic cotton cultivation uses less water), but also very comfortable thanks to the absence of elastic at the top of the sock. They are called non-compressing socks because the elastic is distributed along the entire length of the sock to avoid exerting too much pressure in one spot, which also gives them a slightly ribbed look that is very pleasant to wear.
  • Super-Strong Scottish Yarn: undoubtedly the most durable socks on the market, women's short socks in super-strong Scottish yarn combine the best of natural Egyptian Scottish yarn and the strongest synthetic material, polyamide. They hold very well on the leg and their slightly pastel color is lovely!
  • Knitted Wool: women's short socks in knitted wool from the brand Daphné will delight your feet in winter. The knitted texture gives them a soft thickness when worn, and the wool provides insulating properties to keep your feet warm all winter. Their little extra? The golden trim at the top of the socks for a discreet and elegant feminine touch.
  • Cashmere: available in 85% cashmere at Mazarin or cashmere and silk blends, women's short cashmere socks are the warmest and softest socks you can hope to wear in extreme temperatures! The 85% cashmere ones are the thickest, perfect for mountain shoes for example; and the cashmere & silk blends are the perfect combination of fineness, warmth, and softness.
  • Silk: silk socks are known for their thermoregulating abilities. They keep feet cool in summer and warm in winter. Plus, they are thin, silky, and fluffy!

Trendy Women's Short Socks

All these ranges of low-cut socks are available in multiple trendy color variations (red, black, beige, blue short socks...), as well as plain short socks or patterned ones, to satisfy all your desires! Elegant short socks that add style to your outfits. And for more boldness and character, go for pairs of fancy socks! Conversely, if you want to stay discreet, women's no-show socks (also called invisible socks) are ideal. For mid-calf sports socks, we offer women's socks that adapt to your sports activities (tennis socks, hiking socks, running socks…). Soft and breathable mid-calf models for optimal comfort and perfect foot support.

How to Wear Women's Short Socks

Women's short socks, also called mid-calf socks, are ideal to wear with fitted pants to avoid friction between the sock material and the pants. Women's short socks can be worn with casual outfits, such as jeans and sneakers, as well as with dressier looks. The models in the offered ranges fit perfectly into sneakers, derbies, and even boots. Dare to wear patterned women's short socks and let them subtly stand out in your outfit to add a refined touch of whimsy to your ensembles! Our favorites? The women's glitter short socks by the brand Daphné and the Bonne Maison patterns.

Care for Women's Short Socks

Here are our tips to best care for your women's short socks:

  • For cotton or Scottish thread short socks: you can machine wash them on a normal cycle (30 to 40° and spin at 1200 rpm). Prefer air drying flat to maintain the shape of the socks and the texture of the material (tumble drying is still allowed!);
  • For women's short socks made of more delicate materials such as wool, cashmere, and silk, wash them on a delicate cycle (wool program or by hand, cold at a maximum of 30°, and with very low spin, 600 rpm). Natural drying is essential to avoid any risk of shrinking and to preserve the shape of the socks, preferably flat.

Note: we strongly recommend placing your socks in a laundry bag for machine washes. The laundry bag protects women's short socks from snags with the machine drum and prevents losing socks during washing (still a mystery for some...!).
