# Why sell vicuna wool socks?
Vicuna wool is incredibly rare due to its exceptional softness! The species roams freely in its natural habitat as it does not breed well in captivity. They are captured, rounded up, sheared and then released. Around 4 to 6 tons of wool are produced each year. Mazarin has succeeded in getting hold of a small amount, proposing these extremely soft knee-highs.
