Burgundy - Super-Durable Cotton Lisle
These mid-calf Mazarin socks are made of a Super-Durable cotton lisle in a gorgeous burgundy colour. Slightly thicker than socks in 100% cotton lisle, this pair has been designed to fit in all your shoes while remaining particularly comfortable.
Burgundy is a very elegant colour, a good compromise between traditional sober colours (navy blue or grey) and brighter, more colourful ones (red, orange, pink). We recommend wearing them with blue, black, brown and even grey trousers. But if what you want is to make a statement and catch everyone's attention, then combine them with a lighter outfit, such as beige!
The Super-Durable range, knit in Italy, is the most durable in the world. The finest natural materials (cotton lisle) are combined with the best synthetic fibres (polyamide, elastane) to ensure unparalleled wear resistance. This robustness has been tested and approved by the world-renowned Martindale wear test.

1- Knee-High Socks
Height: these socks are quite long, reaching just below the knee.
Advantages: they offer more support and cover the entire shin. Their height is suitable to be worn with suit trousers.
2- Mid-Calf Socks
Height: mid-calf socks are shorter socks that reach the middle of the calf.
Advantages: they are ideal for people who wear tight-fitting trousers.
3- No-Show Socks
Height: these socks are very short, meant to stay hidden inside of the shoe. We offer different models for different shoes.
Advantage: the no-show socks are invisible in the trainers or moccasins but still protect your feet and shoes.
For socks made from vegetal fibres:
Cotton lisle, Cotton & Linen:
- Washing: by hand or in the washing machine, preferably cold (30 or 40° maximum) with a spin cycle between 600 and 1000 rpm).
- Wash the socks inside out and in a wash bag to avoid lint and preserve the colours.
- Tumble dry and ironing: strongly discouraged.
- Drying on a flat surface recommended to preserve the quality of the fibres and the natural shape of the socks.
Cotton Sea Island & Silk :
- Washing: by hand (recommended) or in washing machine (cold 30°, with a spin cycle of 600 rpm maximum).
- Wash the socks inside out and in a wash bag to avoid lint and preserve the colours.
- Tumble dry and ironing: strongly discouraged.
- Drying on a flat surface recommended to preserve the quality of the fibres and the natural shape of the socks.
For socks made of animal fibres:
Wool merinos, cashmere, vicuna, camel hair :
- Washing: by hand (recommended) or in washing machine (cold 30°, with a spin cycle of 600 rpm maximum).
- Wash the socks inside out and in a wash bag to avoid lint and preserve the colours.
- Tumble dry and ironing: strongly discouraged.
- Drying on a flat surface recommended.
N.B.: when washing for the first time, it is advisable not to mix light and dark coloured socks.
