Linen

# What is linen?
Linen socks, now that is an usual idea indeed! Linen has a shinier appearance compared to cotton and its durability is impressive. More commonly known as a fabric used for jackets and trousers, the use of linen in socks has many benefits. Harvested in France, linen is known for its long fibres which are 10 times longer than those found in cotton, which makes it resistant to general wear and tear. What’s more, another benefit of this fabric is that the more you wash it, the softer it becomes!

# When should I wear linen socks?
Linen has very good moisture-absorbing properties and can absorb up to 30% of its weight, which is excellent for keeping feet cool. It prevents feet from sweating too much in shoes and does not crease. This is why we recommend this fabric in hot weather or if you live in a more tropical climate.

# When shouldn’t I wear linen socks?
Although it is a highly durable and absorbent material, linen does not insulate heat and wool would be a more appropriate choice in cooler weather..
