The family workshop Gammarelli specializes in the making of ecclesiastical vestments and is the official and exclusive supplier of the Popes. Founded in 1970, this sewing workshop is located in Rome in a small shop near the Pantheon. When the pope appoints new cardinals, a purple garment is made. Hence the cardinal's red socks...
